Various non-profit organizations, as well as the State of Oregon, have established incentive programs to help people upgrade to high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment, namely rebates and tax credits.
The tax credits offered by the state government directly reduce your tax bill—if you have a tax bill of $1,000 and you have $500 in tax credits, you only have to pay $500 in taxes. Take advantage of these incentives and start saving today!
Energy Trust of Oregon
Energy Trust of Oregon offers a rebate of up to $850 on high-efficiency heat pumps. These rebates are available to customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, and Cascade Natural Gas.
Northwest Natural Gas
Northwest Natural Gas has a $200 instant discount with a purchase of 95%+ gas furnace with energy efficient fan motor. For customers that convert from oil or electric to gas there is a $600 instant discount. For more details go to the Northwest Natural Gas website.
State Tax Credit
The State of Oregon has a tax credit available—up to $1,300 on high efficiency gas furnaces and up to $1,125 for ducted heat pump systems. Call or email us for the details on this program or learn more on the State of Oregon website.
Federal Tax Credit
Federal Tax Credit Available—up to $200 on high efficiency gas furnaces and up to $300 for high efficiency heat pumps. Call or email us for the details on this program.
Midstate Electric Cooperative (MEC)
Heat pump rebates have now gone up to $1,900 for qualifying systems. When you combine this rebate with the State Tax Credit and the new Lennox Rebate, MEC customers can save up to $5,640 in rebates and tax credits. The Midstate Electric Cooperative provides electrical power for people in eastern Lane County, southern Deschutes County, northern Klamath County, and northern Lake County. Central Electric Co-op (CEC)
Serving most of Central Oregon, the Central Electric Co-op offers a rebate of $1,000 on heat pump systems that include duct testing and sealing. This rebate is available for both new and existing homes.
