I would like to congratulate you on having such fine people working for you. I live in Sisters, OR, and your employee, David Mickelson has serviced my furnace for the past two years. He is personable, knowledgeable and went the extra mile.  I live alone and am not aware of what I might have needed yet, this year; he hooked up the fan on my furnace to run independently of the heat so my woodstove (recently installed) would be more efficient at heating my home. I didn’t know you could do that!

Anyway, thank you. He is a wonderful young man. We need more of this nowadays.

I strongly recommend that anyone in Central Oregon interested in buying heating equipment for their home contact Ponderosa Heating and Cooling. I did an exhaustive search on equipment and distributors in the area* I accepted three quotes from the three distributors that were certified by the state to test the systems for rebate opportunities. These three distributors either recommend Trane or Lennox equipment. This recommendation was consistent with the various websites where heating ventilation and AC (HVAC) professionals talked shop. Since so much of the cost, information) and quality were controlled by the installer and not the equipment! I started talking to my friends and associates about their experiences.

When Ponderosa developed their bid they did the industry accepted J-Load modeling to ensure that the equipment was correctly sized, Further! Ponderosa offered me a variety of reasonable options for both the repair or replacement of our unhealthy and sub- standard ducting and return system. They suggested a variety of heating options including gas electric or heat pump. They listened to our description of Juniper allergy issues and offered suggestions to remedy this issue. Based on my observations research, and discussions I chose Ponderosa for the job.

After accepting Ponderosa's bid, they gave me a firm start date that was within a week of my acceptance. They said they would complete the removal of the old ducting, installation of the new ducting systems, adding a humidifier, an intelligent thermostat, heat pump and air handler within 5 business days. The installation crew was professional, neat and hard working, They completed the installation on time and on budget. They then tested the system and promised that it would meet all the requirements necessary for state and Energy Trust rebates.

After two weeks with the new system, we couldn't be happier, The house is cleaner, the temperature is stable room to room) and the house feels comfortable. Ponderosa told me what was going to happen! told me what was happening) and told me how to get the most out of the new system. Thanks Rick and Curtis for a job well done.

I recently had an energy audit of my new home. It was done by NW Energy Alliance. Among other things, they conducted two tests of my heating/cooling system. The first test was "Duct Leakage". An Energy star home has 6%. Our home has 11%. This may not seem very good. The technician who did the test told me that the 6% can only be achieved in a home with the furnace in the hose. He said we got an A+ for our situation.

The second test was an "Infiltration Test". An Energy star has 2599 cfm. Our home has 1479 cfm. These results really impressed the technician. He said our home has one of the best HVAC systems he has tested. Gave us an overall grade of A+.

I just want to share these results with you and let you that an independent test firm confirmed
what we already know - You guys did great quality work!

Dear Corina and cohorts,

As you know, my wife and I gave ourselves a belated Christmas present in the form of a heat pump installation in the I5 year old home we've been happily occupying since we came to Sisters. After stubbing our toes in various ways with three (3) of your very highly advertised rivals, we chose you for reasons that included but were not limited to the reasonableness of your bid. I wish I could say that you were not the lowest but that is the fact. You were also local and your rep gave us an impression that we were not being jerked around simply because we are ancient. We expected a royal mess because your installation had to go into the ceiling which meant vents throughout the house, machinery in hard to reach quarters and all the difficulties you don't have to face in a new home.

Your two man crew was so good we felt like adopting them. It was obvious even to lay people such as ourselves that they knew exactly what they were doing. I suppose this should be expected. What we didn't expect was the care and concern they displayed in performing their work. They cleaned up after themselves meticulously, They were considerate in ways we didn't even think of which, I suppose, is the result of their extensive experience.

I've held off lauding the installation because I wanted to wait until you'd been paid in full so you wouldn't think there was any ulterior motive behind my comments. Neither did I wish to make a fool! of myself by telling you how comfortable your product has made us only to find that little glitches were popping up right and left and having to complain every few days.

The next glitch we experienced will be the first, Both the County inspector and the independent firm which checked for leakage said the installation was outstanding. It was not that much of surprise. Everything works just as you said it would (if not better) and we could not possibly be more pleased. We'd be conceited about our wisdom in choosing your firm except we know full well it was blind luck.

Finally, the conscientious manner in which your administrative staff kept us informed and advised was the icing on the cake. So many business people fail to understand the importance of merely keeping your customer on top of things.

Our son Jim will be building his own home later this Spring on Ten Peaks Court and I'm sure he intends calling on you for an encore.

Dear Sir,

You've probably experienced such excellent service (maybe even on an airline) that you've said to yourself, "I'll write a letter of appreciation, they were great" and then, of course, never got around to it. Well, this time I'll do it.

My wife and I want to thank all the employees of Ponderosa Heating that had something to do with planning and installing the new heating system in our Camp Sherman home. Everyone we encountered over the past six months has been competent and friendly. We benefited from quality work done on time. Ponderosa heating never caused a delay or scheduling problem in the course of our remodeling project.

We want to particularly thank Pat who did most of the installation work on our house. Remodels and additions can be tricky jobs; I know ours was.. Pat understood this and made it a point to understand all the mechanics of the project. He even advised other subs who were on the way to making a mistake or at least were going to cause a complication down the road. The ducting plan worked out when the concrete was being poured had to abandoned and Pat figured out on new one, a better one. He made sure that the heat pump was working correctly, showed me how the thermostat worked, etc. He did quality work above and beyond what most craftsman do. Pat is a fine representative for your company. We're sure glad he worked on our house.

Last fall your exceptional crew installed a new heat pump, furnace and venting in our home. Of all of our remodeling projects, this one was, hands down , the least stressful. May problems existed in our twenty year old home, but Billy, Jim, and all the rest, went out of their way to make things work right. The vent work is truly a work of art.

From the day you and Doug sat on our deck and explained your process until now, your people have proven to be knowledgeable, helpful, responsive and friendly. When we heard that Doug was the new guy, our initial thought was that we did not want to deal with the "new guy". Boy, were we wrong! His sales skills and customer service approach made him invaluable. We still rely on him if we have a question. And certainly no letter of thanks would be complete without mentioning Carla. When we call her, we feel like we are talking to a friend. She's plain wonderful!

Oh yeah, the heat works great too! We stayed nice and toasty all winter. Later this month your people will sanivac our vents and get us ready for new season. We are glad we selected your company to install and maintain our new system because we know you'll be there when we need you.
